Weathered Barco Pantiles for Luxury Holiday Homes in North Yorkshire

Killerby Hall | Barco Pantiles North Yorkshire | William Blyth

This beautiful hall in North Yorkshire has undergone an extensive refurbishment, transforming the property into a collection of luxury holiday homes and cottages, while retaining its traditional architectural character.

As part of the renovation, a complete re-roof was carried out using William Blyth’s handmade Weathered Barco Old English Pantiles. Over 25,000 clay pantiles and fittings were supplied for the project, creating a distinctive roofscape that complements the property’s natural stonework.

The Weathered Barco Pantiles were chosen for their rich colour variation, with natural tones ranging from light oranges through to deep reds. Carefully blended across the roof, these subtle differences create depth, texture and an authentic appearance that reflects the character of traditional clay roofing.

Over time, the handmade clay pantiles will continue to weather, developing a mature finish that blends sympathetically with the surrounding stonework and landscape.

The completed project demonstrates how traditional handmade clay roof tiles can enhance a large-scale property refurbishment, preserving architectural character while bringing lasting quality and distinction to luxury accommodation.
