Mixed Classic Range Tiles For Private Residence

William Blyth Classic Tile Project, Kent

This private residential restoration project in East Sussex demonstrates how the William Blyth Classic Range of handmade clay roof tiles can bring authentic heritage character to both restoration and new-build elements within the same setting.

Alongside the careful refurbishment of the main property, a newly constructed oak-framed garage required a roof finish that would complement the traditional architecture and surrounding landscape.

To achieve this, a bespoke blend of Red, Weathered, and Antique tiles from the Classic Range was selected. The combination of tones creates natural variation across the roofscape, reflecting the character often associated with historic clay roofs. As each tile is handmade, subtle differences in surface texture and colour provide depth and authenticity, helping the new structure sit comfortably alongside the restored building.

The finished roof enhances the charm of the property while providing the durability expected from traditional clay roof tiles. This project highlights how the Classic Range can deliver the appearance of heritage roofing with the consistency and reliability required for modern restoration and residential projects.
